A team consisting of our department’s students Abdullah Alp Erşahin, Doğukan Ataberk Gönüllü, and İsmail Çınar, together with Emirhan Çakır, an Industrial Engineering major with a minor in AI and Machine Learning, achieved second place in the JET KOD Hackathon organized by TEI – TUSAŞ Engine Industries Inc.
JET KOD is a technically focused and competitive hackathon program organized for senior undergraduate students. Among more than 800 applicants, 20 students were selected to compete in five teams of four participants over a two-day program. During the event, teams were expected to develop technical and feasible solutions within 24 hours based on the given case studies. At the end of the program, the developed projects were presented to a jury consisting of TEI’s senior technical and executive staff, and as a result of the evaluation, our students’ team was awarded second place.
Following this achievement, our students were received by the Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Özcan, in his office, where they were congratulated and wished continued success. Further details regarding this visit can be found at the link below.
