The official templates have been updated accordingly to include this requirement. Depending on your process, you must select one of the two options below, fill in the required details if applicable, and integrate the text into your documents. Please review the options carefully:
Declaration of AI Usage and Academic Integrity
Option 1: If generative AI tools were used
- "During the preparation of this thesis, the author(s) used [insert name of tool, e.g., ChatGPT-4, Gemini, GitHub Copilot] to [insert specific purpose, e.g., improve the grammatical clarity of the text, debug code, brainstorm structural headings]. After using the tool(s), the author(s) thoroughly reviewed and edited the generated content and take full responsibility for the final thesis. Furthermore, the author(s) hereby formally commit that all references cited in this report have been manually verified. All cited works are genuine, existing academic publications, and no AI-generated or "hallucinated" citations have been included. The author(s) accept full academic responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of all references."
Option 2: If no generative AI tools were used
- "The author(s) declare that no generative AI tools were used in the writing, coding, or data analysis phases of this thesis. The author(s) hereby formally commit that all references cited in this report have been manually sourced and verified. All cited works are genuine, existing academic publications, and no AI-generated or "hallucinated" citations have been included. The author(s) accept full academic responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of all references."
