We are thrilled to share that the latest scientific article by our AI in Healthcare Laboratory, "Explainable Multimodal Machine Learning Model for Predicting ICU Admission at Hospital Arrival" has been accepted for publication in the prestigious journal, IEEE Access.
This work introduces an explainable multimodal machine learning framework that integrates chest X-ray images and clinical data to predict ICU admission risk at hospital arrival. By combining strong predictive performance, clinical reliability, and interpretability, the study moves beyond “accurate models” toward clinically usable and reliable AI systems.
